High School, Teenager, College Student Part Time Job Seekers: Tenacity Is Key to Getting The Part Time Job

High School, Teenager, College Student part time job Seekers: Tenacity Is Key to Getting The Part Time Job

Do you want to stand out among all of the other job applicants vying for the same part time job that you are going for?

Tenacity is a key component to you part time job search as a teenager. Employers like to hire teens who “want” the job.

All teens want to make extra money to buy the latest iphone, go to the movies, party, the latest clothes fashion, etc… but what will make you stand out compared to the other teens who want the same job?

Tenacity. Your level of tenacity will be based on how hungry you are for tha particular job.

What’s the main way to show your potential employer that you really really “want” the job?

How do you show your potential employer that you are the best person out of all other applicants that will complete his current staff or crew?

Before we answer that, you should know that the potential employer sees hundreds, yes hundreds, of applications each month so you have to be the one to stand out among the rest.

Here’s the answer. It’s all in your behavior.

What does that mean? It simply means that that the person who shows the most enthusiasm and persistence with a positive attitude and willing to take a proactive approach is usually the winner.

Think about it this way, if you were the employer and wanted to hire a good team member to fit in with the rest of your crew and you had to choose from 100 people that filled out an application, but only one of those people filled out several job applications over a few weeks and constantly came in to follow up with the hiring person, would this potential candidate stand out to you?

You better believe it!

There’s a good old saying that goes “The harder I work, the luckier I get.”

Basically, it means that the people who continue to work hard at trying to achieve their goals are always opening more doors of opportunity. In the end, it looks as if they were lucky, but the truth of the matter is that they worked hard at putting themselves in the right place at the right time.

In this case, a teenager trying to get a part time job will open more opportunities by being tenacious at filling out online part-time McDonalds job application, the KFC job application, or the online Burger King job application, etc… and being persistent at following up with the hiring manager, all the while staying proactive and positive that they WILL be the chosen one!

Getting a Job – Teenagers

Getting a Job – Teenagers

Teenagers – The Dreaded Job

This can be put two ways, the ideal way, and the realistic way.
Ideal – work is great, you get paid lots, have fun and anything else you like!
Realistic – Work is work, it’s not always fun, up until the age of 18(Scotland), the pay is pathetic…

However, if you start working early, you’ll be prepared for later in your life and make some extra cash!

Here are some general tips for finding your job;
Apply everywhere, the more applications you put in, the more chance you have right?
There’s a recession, so don’t be picky, it’s unlikely you’ll be working in a great job
If you’re at school, it’s best to get a Saturday job, leaving you Saturday night for parties and what not – after school is also an option, but it’ll be tiring
College? Depending on the hours you attend your college, it’s advisable to go for a few days a week, I have a friend who is doing an NHC is Computing Studies at college, he works in McDonalds 3 days a week

Determination… if you can’t accept low pay, annoying hours and a busy life, don’t bother with a job
If possible, try to relate your job to what you want to do later in life – if you don’t know yet, base it around what you enjoy

Here are some ‘job ideas’;

Like cars? I do, so I work as a valet at an Arnold Clark branch.
Like horses? Work in a stables or at your local race track.
Like sport? Work in JJB or a sports centre.
Seeing the pattern?
Till jobs are great, not bad hours (can be done after school) and in general, the pay is decent, just be aware that it’s hard to get the job just now.
Being a car washer at a garage is a great Saturday job, as long as you don’t mind getting wet and cold.
Be a caddy! Being a caddy is great, you can watch golf, get paid well and most likely get a tip.
Chip shops are always taking on young people for work, behind the tills or in the kitchen, or even just washing up!
Paper boy/girl – small hours, low pay, cold mornings, early mornings…. Great yep? No – that’s why it’s easy to get this job!
If you live near a football stadium and like football, apply as a ball boy! You see free football and it’s not a bad job… just be prepared for a long waiting list and the likelihood that you’ll never get that job.

There are several reasons for getting a job so young, here’s a few;
Experience for later in life, where I work, I get free driving lessons in the car lot from some of the younger and more adventurous salesman! It can give you vital experience of what life is like as an adult. Money, come on… who doesn’t like some extra Queen Heads? If you want regular new CDs, you need a job!
Work experience – most schools do work experience with pupils once they reach 4th year, adding to this is a very valuable asset. I have my Saturday job at Arnold Clark, the article writing I do, and experience in my local primary school.

Business For College Students – Getting a Financial Headstart

Extra income from any business for college students is always welcome. Whether it is for that little bit of extra pocket-money, or to pay for your own apartment, that extra cash goes a long way. Being in college however, is as good as a full-time job and a lot of time is invested in attending classes and studying for exams. This being the case, any method of earning that does not consume too much of a student’s time is ideal.

However, an entrepreneurial business for college students seems like an innovative idea, because it is not only great to put on a resume but is also valuable experience to rely on after graduation. A lot of websites refer to tutoring, freelancing, and other odd jobs as business for college students. This is however misleading. These are JOBS.

What this article contains falls within the realm of a business. As one simple idea, if so many students are looking for jobs, why not make THAT, the business for college students. You can source employers and have students contact you for jobs. The student employee or company can pay you a small commission for the successful match-made between the two. The intricacies of this scenario are not the concern of this article.

The interest here lies in informing the prospective student businessman that they should think big. Not small-scale. A wonderful business for college students is affiliate marketing. With the ease of access to the internet all over campuses, it is all but obvious that students in college should take advantage of avenues like affiliate marketing to bring in a decent income.

Affiliate marketing is such an attractive prospect, not only because it is a JOB that brings in handsome returns, but also because it could bloom into a BUSINESS for college students. How? By becoming an affiliate marketer, you are opening an avenue where the internet population is your customer and you can direct specific demographics out there to any product or service you desire. You essentially become the online middleman within any industry that may interest you.

PROS; So yes, there are plenty of advantages with affiliate marketing as a business for college students.

PRO 1- A handsome income,

PRO 2- the ease of working from your dorm room or wherever you have internet access

PRO 5- becoming an authority figure within various industries,

PRO 6- Involves little or no capital expense

CONS; There must be a downside to all this, or everybody would be doing it. Well yes, there is.

CON 1- Time consumption. When starting up with no internet marketing knowledge it will take time to learn and implement the necessary marketing tactics.

CON 2- You do not see results overnight.

These two negative features discourage people from pursuing affiliate marketing as a business for college students. However, after the initial time invested into building a campaign no more time is required as cash will flow in automatically with no further effort. 1 months work for 1 years income.
